The big tyre mystery.

This is a strange one.  On Tuesday (13th Sep), without anyone noticing, two large tyres appeared as if by magic outside the BAY Centre. They were leaning against the ball court fence.

This photo shows the larger of the two tyres (Mike and I thought about moving it but it was very large and heavy and we didn't want to make it angry).  After much discussion and weighing up all the pros and cons, it was decided ..... to do nothing. There was always the chance that they would disappear as magically as they had appeared.

Wednesday, they were still there. Whoever (or whatever) had dumped them there clearly wasn't coming back for them.

Thursday morning, I arrived at the Bay Centre to find the smaller of the tyres had done a runner. It was nowhere to be found. I walked all around the Centre just in case somebody had moved it. I took a photo of the larger tyre and went into the Centre.

Inside, the NHS group asked me if I had a broom because of the grass on the hall floor. They said it was probably the tyre?!?! When asked, 'what tyre?' they said, 'the one in the storage room'. I opened up the door and saw -

I won't repeat what I said but it was along the lines of, 'Crikey! Who put that in there?!'

Mike and I rolled the tyre back out of the Centre and put it back alongside its big brother. We aren't naming any names but the consensus of opinion was that it must have been the boxers who put it into the storage room.

Later that day, when the Centre was empty, the tyres magically disappeared.
